A walker, not a clinician

Theresa is in her seventies and practises Japanese interval walking outdoors, three or four days a week. She writes from experience, not medical training.

How she came to interval walking

Theresa found Japanese interval walking online while looking for a way to counter the effects of ageing, and took it up.

She walks outside rather than on a treadmill, three or four days a week. Asked what has changed, she says it leaves her feeling more energetic.

What she writes about

Theresa is the author of Ritmo’s guide to interval walking: what the method is, how to do it, and what the research behind it actually found. She has read and approved everything published under her name. Research claims in the guide are cited to the original study, and anything to do with health comes with the advice to check with a doctor first.
