These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ritmo mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Ritmo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who we are
Ritmo is an interval-walking app for Android, operated by the developer of the Ritmo app. For any question about these Terms, contact jithinliveshere@gmail.com.
The Service
Ritmo times your walking intervals, counts steps, and estimates distance. It works on your device by default. If you sign in with Google and enable Cloud Sync, your data is stored and synced across your devices. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Health and fitness disclaimer
Ritmo is a fitness tool, not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice. Its step counts and distance figures are estimates and may not be accurate. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise programme, especially if you have a medical condition. You use Ritmo and take part in any activity it suggests at your own risk.
Eligibility
Ritmo is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Ritmo only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your account
Signing in and Cloud Sync are optional. If you sign in with Google, you are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can delete it at any time following our Account & data deletion instructions.
Purchases
Cloud Sync is available as a one-time purchase through Google Play. All purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's own terms and payment policies; we never see your payment details. Refunds and billing are handled by Google Play in line with their refund policy. Prices may change for future purchases.
Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Ritmo for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play terms. You agree not to:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- use the Service in any unlawful way, or to infringe the rights of others;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
Intellectual property
The Ritmo app, its name, logo, design, and content are owned by the developer of Ritmo and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The walk data you create remains yours; these Terms do not transfer ownership of your data to us.
Third-party services
Ritmo relies on third-party services, including Google Play, Google Sign-In, and Google Firebase. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data estimates will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination
You may stop using Ritmo at any time by uninstalling it and, if you use Cloud Sync, deleting your cloud data. We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
